Red Cross Blood Drive
Last month, about 230 blood drives in 23 states were canceled because of inclement winter weather, resulting in nearly 7,500 uncollected blood donations. The flu has also been widespread and may be preventing donors from making or keeping appointments. Winter and flu season are far from over, making your upcoming blood drive extra important in helping to restock the shelves. Despite the weather and flu, hospital patients across the country still need blood. Eligible donors are urged to help now by making and keeping blood donation appointments to ensure blood is available for those who need it.
If you are interested in joining us, please email Liz at firstname.lastname@example.org for details by February 11th.
